Song Yaqi holds the title of Doctor of Engineering. He is concurrently an Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor within the Department of Computer Science at North China Electric Power University, where his expertise significantly contributes to both teaching and research realms. Between 2018 and 2019, he broadened his academic horizons as a Visiting Scholar at Purdue University in the U.S.. In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Song is recognized as a Senior Lecturer for Alibaba Cloud's Big Data program and is honored as an Alibaba Cloud MVP, underscoring his exceptional contributions and thought leadership in the realm of cloud technology. His expertise extends to serving as a Proposition Expert for big data contests organized by the State Grid Corporation, where his insights shape future industry challenges.
Dr. Song's research interests are multifaceted, encompassing the realms of cloud computing, big data analytics—specifically their application within power systems—and the field of non-invasive load monitoring (NILM). He demonstrates a profound proficiency in leveraging advanced platforms such as MaxCompute, DataWorks, alongside open-source technologies within the Hadoop and Spark ecosystems, to tackle intricate challenges. These include, but are not limited to, the scalable storage of power big data, conducting parallel analyses, unraveling complex signal processing tasks, and advancing the frontier of NILM methodologies. His work stands at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge technology with the practical needs of the energy sector.
