Wenqing Zhao, female, Ph.D., North China Electric Power University (NCEPU), is currently a professor in the Department of Computer Science of NCEPU. She is a member of Imaging Detection and Perception Specialised Committee and Machine Vision Specialised Committee of the Chinese Society of Image Graphics, a member of Artificial Intelligence and Electrical Applications Specialised Committee of the Chinese Society of Electrotechnology, and an executive director of Hebei Computer Society.
She has long been engaged in the research on the application of artificial intelligence in electric power system. She has presided over and participated in the research work of the Natural Science Foundation of Hebei Province, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a number of projects funded by the Special Funds for the Fundamental Research Operating Costs of the Central Universities, as well as the State Grid Science and Technology Project. She won the second and third prizes of Hebei Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress. She has published more than 80 papers, many of which have been searched by SCI and EI, and has published the book ‘Electric Power Visual Technology’, and edited the ‘Encyclopedia of Electric Power of China (Third Edition)’.
